Educational Programs 2025

CINEphil_101 offers educational programs for preschoolers, elementary school children, teenagers, and teachers.

The educational programs will take place at various locations in the city of Heraklion on May 10-11 and 17-18, 2025, and participation is free of charge (reservation required).

01 FILM MASTERCLASS

Educational activity for teenagers on film technique and narrative tools with educator and filmmaker Manolis Tselentakis. The film masterclass lasts two days and is aimed at teenagers aged 15-16. Teachers also participate in the masterclass. Read more.

02 PHILOSOPHY FOR CHILDREN

"Philosophy for Children" (p4c) using short films, by philosophy teachers trained in the p4c method. Children aged 5-7, 8-11, 12-15, and 16-18 can participate in the activity in different parallel p4c sections.

03 PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Photography workshop for elementary school children with photographer Vasilis Goumas and educator Sofia Fragkouli. In the workshop, children will create a handmade animation projector using the stop motion animation technique.

04 SCREENPLAY MASTERCLASS

Educational activity for teenagers on writing film and television screenplays with screenwriter and filmmaker Lefteris Giannakoudakis. The screenwriting masterclass lasts two days and is aimed at teenagers aged 15-18.
