SYNOPSIS
Alma, a lonely refugee child, is thrust back into her traumatic past when her doll falls into the pool, mirroring the shipwreck of the refugee boat from which she was the sole survivor. Luna, her savior, takes it upon herself to help her overcome her trauma and rebuild her life. 2025 Goya Award for Best Short Animation

Screening of award-winning animated films À cœur perdu (France, 2022), Cafuné (Spain, 2024), and Asiunia (Poland, 2023), which sensitively address themes such as displacement, the experience of war, memory, and loss. Through diverse aesthetic and narrative approaches, the films provide an opportunity for meaningful dialogue on human rights, identity, and the importance of empathy.
Following the screening, students will participate in a discussion designed to encourage critical reflection and the free exchange of ideas. The discussion will be led by Vassilis Karamitsanis, President of ANIMASYROS and Secretary General of the International Centre of Films for Children and Young People (CIFEJ).
Ο Βασίλης Καραμιτσάνης γεννήθηκε το 1976 στην Αθήνα. Αποφοίτησε από το Λύκειο του Κολλεγίου Αθηνών και από το Τμήμα Νομικής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Έκανε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στα Πανεπιστήμια Ρότερνταμ, Αμβούργου και Αιξ-Μασσαλίας III. Από το 2002 είναι δικηγόρος Αθηνών. Από το 2008 είναι πρόεδρος του ANIMASYROS Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ Κινουμένων Σχεδίων, ενώ από το 2015 έως το 2023 διατέλεσε πρόεδρος της ΑΣΙΦΑ ΕΛΛΑΣ – Ελληνικής Ένωσης Κινουμένων Σχεδίων. Το 2018 αναγορεύθηκε Ιππότης του Τάγματος Γραμμάτων & Τεχνών της Γαλλικής Δημοκρατίας. Από το Νοέμβριο του 2018 έως τον Δεκέμβριο του 2019 υπηρέτησε στη θέση του Προέδρου Δ.Σ. της Εθνικής Λυρικής Σκηνής. Από το 2025 είναι Γενικός Γραμματέας του Παγκόσμιου Κέντρου Κινηματογράφου για Παιδιά Νέους (CIFEJ) που εδρεύει στην Αθήνα.
