HERE COME THE GIANTS

This activity is targeted towards kindergarten students, in cooperation with the nursery school « To Mikro Ergastiri”.
The screening will take place at the school.
SYNOPSIS:
The movie is based on the basic human rights of every child with a disability, highlighting the need for accessible infrastructures everywhere. The movie focuses on the point of view of those children and their want for a world and a society without exclusions, where everyone has equal opportunities.

Screening of the short film HERE COME THE GIANTS is presented in collaboration with NETWORK for children’s rights.
The discussion after the screening will be coordinated by the preschool teacher Karsiwth Anastasia- Maria.
The children of “Mikro ergastiri“, in Heraklion of Crete, in continuation of the viewing of the film ” Here come the Giants” and in the framework of the programme ” Pick up where you left off“, with a sub theme of the individuality of every person, the respect towards himself and others, are going to conduct a discussion based on the theme of the movie. After they view and evaluate the film, they will be free to feel, discuss and with our help write down their thoughts and their feelings in the format of a histogram.
Finally, the activity will conclude with the creation of a group art project, in which the children will use a big piece of paper to design an their ideal ideal version of a school. This artwork will be exhibited at the school and accompanied by a description of the video “The Giants Are Coming” that they edited.
